MiŽERIJA is a new punk band formed in the dark corners of the Nigdjezemska, an autonomous space located in Zadar.
Their first release immediately struck us with its infectious melancholic vibes and heavy pop sensibility. At first listening, the band evokes the early sounds of the band BOYE and their demo releases but is charged with a strong punk attitude and a breeze of modern dark pop/post-punk freshness. If you like the melancholy and striking sides of UK anarcho-punk and ex-YU post-punk/new-wave, we suggest you don’t sleep on MIŽERIJA.
The songs have a strong anti-authoritarian vibe with a touch of ecology and romanticism, and in some respect aspects, their music sounds like a logical progression from the last band of the MIŽERIJA guitarist, Barefoot Childhood.
The band is currently recording new songs and we are very excited to hear the new releases. Let the festivities begin!
