A figure : that of a man trying to lift himself up, reminding us of the great comics, for whom, as in circus, intense risk is a requirement.
Artist Nicolas Fraiseau uses a Chinese bar in an innovative way in the play, turning it into an unstable object. In an insecure environment, without anchors and stable support, the artist examines ways in which he can find balance within himself. Dealing with the problem of fragility and unpredictability of the artist and the world around him, the theme of the play is more relevant today than in 2018, when it premiered.
