UN LOUP POUR L’HOMME (FR): GRAND-MOTHER PROJECT
Performance

GRAND-MOTHER PROJECT
or “Mum, I Will Always Have Dreams”
You do not simply surrender yourself into the arms of a stranger. It takes time, a gentle search for intimacy, and special care.
Alexandre Fray and André Rosenfeld Sznelwar, acrobatic porters, take turns meeting women of grandmotherly age. Together with these older women, who have never or only rarely been carried, the acrobats question the very essence of a discipline whose pursuit of virtuosity often leaves the most important things in the shadows. In each performance, they invite four to five new women, aged between three and four times twenty, into fragile aerial duets, exploring relationships of trust and dependence while persistently pushing the limits of the body’s possibilities.
This performance is an ode to surrendering to the unknown — to those extraordinary moments in which women old enough to be grandmothers agree, for the first time, to be lifted from the ground.
