As every year so far in its 13-year-long tradition, and in the spirit of deep respect for high-quality circus entertainment, CirkoBalkana is opening a call for your acts to be part of this year’s Open Stage, which will take place during the Zagreb edition on June 8th.
This year’s CirkoBalkana focus in Zagreb is on juggling and object manipulation, so we invite all beginner, intermediate, skilled, and brilliant manipulators of artistic souls to present themselves to the Zagreb audience with a short performance!
Although it may sound limiting – we assure you it’s not!
Manipulation in this context embraces a wide spectrum of objects – both living and non-living – from juggling props and various other items (even household objects, liquids and solids), to bodies and minds, air and water… anything is welcome as long as there is a manipulator and an object being manipulated!
Act duration: up to 8 minutes.

Your message should include:
Your full name and artistic name (if you have one)
– Title of the act
– Duration of the act
– A short description of the act
Also attach:
– A photo (minimum 300 dpi) that represents you and your performance
– If your act includes recorded music – please attach the music in mp3 format
– A description of technical requirements for your performance
As every year, the winners will be chosen by a professional jury, composed this time of top-tier manipulators – the crème de la crème of the field – and the selected performers will receive fantastic prizes!
So, for at least one evening, take fate into your own hands – and instead of being manipulated, become the MANIPULATOR!
